A-B-C-ic Overview 

You may know the Documentations and Publications Department through its yearly magazine called the Elements Magazine. However, we are more than just the magazine. We are the group of people behind the behind-the-scenes of most projects, documenting and helping out in promoting the event. We are a platform that allows the members of Celadon to express themselves creatively in Celadon. When you decide to come into the department as a manager, we promise to offer you not only a different perspective on how Celadon and its projects work, but also a closely-knit family where you can freely express yourself. Keep reading to learn the alphabet in figuring out all things DocPub!

El: Learn to hone your skills

The Documentations and Publications Department is a department that requires a bit of technical skills like photography and writing. You don’t have to be great, you just have to have the heart for it and Elements will give you that avenue for growth. Develop your photography and writing skills with us and you may even learn a thing or two from the Vice President of Documentations and Publications, Mark Yu, on how to cook an “already portioned” okonomiyaki.

Em: Manage people and create avenues for growth

Managers of the Documentations and Publications department serve as editors for the Elements Magazine, but more than that, they serve as mentors of the staffers under them. Your work goes beyond your mentees and Junior Editors because through managing different workshops, you will be able to create a platform for your staffers to grow with you. Consequently, learning will not just be a one-way road in DocPub because you will encounter varied styles and different types of creative output from the EB, your fellow managers, and even your staffers!

Ents: No one else wears crazy like we do

We wear crazy both literally and figuratively. The DocPub shirt in the previous year with the statement “On Wednesdays, we wear crazy” speak miles on what working in the Documentations and Publications department is like. From laughter to puns like no other, this department does not shy away from fun. Work is work, but we always find time to have fun with each other. DocPub allows you to express yourself through your works. More importantly, DocPub accepts you for your own craziness, whoever you may be.

O: Opportunities to showcase your talents

The Documentations and Publications team is one that allows you to be yourself so don’t be afraid to show us what you’ve got. Whether it be photography, writing, or layouts, the department always gives opportunities for you to showcase your talents. You can express yourself not just in the magazine but also in the impromptu shoots we have as a department. You never know, we might just bring out the model in you.

P:Pubmamahal in the DocPubmilya

Once you become a member of the Documentations and Publications department, you become a part of a family. You might not know them at first but once you’ve opened up to them, this is a family you will surely want to stay in. Through highs and lows, this family will stick by you. You will always have the DOCPUB EB looking out for you. This department never runs short of pubmamahal to share.
