Ember: An Urban Summer Getaway

Ateneo Celadon fired up the start of the summer season by holding Ember: A Summer Bazaar in the UP Town Center Amphitheater last April 1-2, 2017. Now on its second year, Ember had a wide scope of concessionaires, ranging from fashion and accessories to food stalls.

While shopping, visitors enjoyed live music from different performers every night. On the first night, the shoppers were serenaded by Sean Gonida, Joshe Tiu, and Abby and Audrey Vy, better known as the MAJAM Sisters. Meanwhile, singers Marc Co, Raissa Tan, Nicole Chiang, Jay Rebosa and Nats Varela lightened up the mood on the second night. Both days were graced by the CLDN Dance Crew through flash mob and stage performances.

According to Matt Yu, Ember’s project manager, “The bazaar goers and even the concessionaires all enjoyed the freebies and games we had for them. Programs were really effective and engaged with everyone in the bazaar. We had really great performers that I think really entertained the crowds in UP Town Center. Celadoneans who came and visited also had a great time.”

“Sponsors were a great help in attracting people to the bazaar,” added Yu. Herschel, Keds, Sperry and Saucony Originals gave away gift certificates and special prizes through contests held online.
